Notify me when this product is available:

La Vedetta is a cult micro-cantina in Barbaresco. Swanti is a blend of Nebbiolo, Freisa and maybe a little Barbera and it's also the name of the proprietors (Marco Viglino) German partner in crime.
  • Grapes: Nebbiolo base + Barbera, Dolcetto and Freisa
    Viticulture: Sustainable
Vinification: Alcoholic fermentation with 10 days maceration in stainless-steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation
Ageing: In stainless-steel tanks, blended and bottled in Spring
    Bottles produced: 2,000
    Alcohol: 13% abv

  • Colour: Medium purple red
Nose: Fresh and crisp nose evoking aromas of red berries and crushed flowers
Palate: Round and velvety, medium-bodied with well-integrated tannins and a pleasantly long finish

  • La Vedetta is the brainchild of Marco Viglino, a passionate and driven young man who a few years ago decided to quit his corporate nine-to-five to focus on continuing his family winemaking tradition. Despite being a young cantina, the vines and the experience of the winemakers are second to none here. Using his family’s expertise, traditional techniques, and a passion and respect for the terroir is key to Marco’s approach. Oenologist Piero Ballario (of Elio Grasso fame) consults at this tiny 'garagista' cantina
